So you are an overpronator. Your foot tends to land on the outside of the heel and roll inwards slightly more than a normal pronator. With overpronation, the arch flattens, collapses, and soft tissues can stretch. When this happens, joints that should be stable can become loose and flexible.

Runners who overpronate may experience one or more of the following symptoms: Ankle Sprains, shin splints, osteochondrosis or knee pain.
